MATCH SUMMARY OF KXIP vs KKR
To qualify for the IPL 2019 Playoffs will be a tough task for either the Kings XI Punjab or the Kolkata Knight Riders. At this stage of the competition, the two teams have a very similar record. They played twelve matches, winning five games to be on ten points. The Kolkata Knight Riders have the better net run rate, but that’s all that these two teams are currently separating.
Rajasthan’s rained-out match has helped these two teams a bit, but it’s still a tough one to qualify. There’s a real chance these teams will be able to win their final two matches and still can’t qualify.
All the teams can do in such a situation are coming out and playing their best cricket. If the other things happen, it’s good otherwise there’s nothing to do.
KXIP vs KKR IPL 2019 will be played at the IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali, Punjab Cricket Association.
Let’s check out the Fantasy Cricket Tips of KXIP vs KKR Dream11Team and Match Prediction.
The team that wins the toss will probably want to bat second. Both sides like to chase down scores as well as favorable ground conditions for this strategy.
PITCH AND CONDITIONS
KXIP vs KKR IPL 2019 will be played at the IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali, Punjab Cricket Association. The weather on match day is expected to be hot and dry. It is also not expected that the humidity will be too high so hopefully there won’t be too much dew on the ground either.
Mohali’s pitch was good for batting. It allowed the batsmen to play their shots, but even the contest helped a little by the large dimensions of the ground. At this venue, the bowlers have more room for error than some others, and we should see a good bat-ball contest.
At this venue, a score of about 170 should be considered par.
KXIP VS KKR SQUAD:
KXIP Predicted Playing XI: Chris Gayle, KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, Sarfaraz Khan, Nicholas Pooran, David Miller, Sam Curran, RavichandranAshwin(c), MuruganAshwin, Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh
KKR Predicted Playing XI:Shubman Gill, Chris Lynn, Nitish Rana, Andre Russell, Dinesh Karthik(C and WK), Rinku Singh, Sunil Narine, Kuldeep Yadav, Harry Gurney and Sandeep Warrier.
Kings XI Punjab has lost their last three matches and a thread hangs over their chances of making the playoffs. The previous match saw the Sunrisers thrash the Kings XI with a 45-run margin. That’s a huge cricket loss in the T20 and the side has certainly been demoralized.
It included one of the worst bowling spells we’ve ever seen as the Kings XI in just four overs gave up the tournament’s fastest fifty.
The previous match brought Mujeeb Ur Rahman back to the side. In his four overs, he gave away 66 runs and didn’t take a wicket. Arshdeep Singh was totally ineffective and in his four overs he gave away 42 runs.
This meant that the bigger scheme of things lost the bowling performances of Ravi Ashwin, Mohammad Shami, and MuruganAshwin.
The Kings XI can’t afford this against a strong lineup of Kolkata batting. They have to think about strengthening their bowling lineup by perhaps including in the side Hardus Viljoen or Andrew Tye.
Kings XI’s batting side depends heavily on KL Rahul and Chris Gayle. Both of these players need to score, otherwise the side of Kings XI will fight hard. Unfortunately, his main middle-order batsmen did not do well this year for Ravi Ashwin. David Miller, Mayank Aggarwal, and Nicholas Pooran have all struggled and unfulfilled their potential.
Kings XI Punjab has no choice but to win the game. Doing so will require one of their players to do something special and won’t be easy.
The Kolkata Knight Riders finally did what everyone had been imploring them to do from the start, and that was to give more time to Andre Russell at the crease.
In number three, the big West Indian came in and took over the game. He scored 80 out of 40 balls with 8 sixes to help Kolkata achieve the IPL’s highest score. Shubman Gill’s top-of – the-order contribution can not be understated either. He made 76 out of 45 balls and then Sunil Narine is a much better choice to start the inning.
The Kolkata Knight Riders are back to their best in the batting department with Chris Lynn and Dinesh Karthik in good shape. His bowling was the real problem for Kolkata. The side doesn’t have the bowling resources that some of this competition’s best teams do.
Andre Russell regularly bowled his four overs, which for Kolkata is a big plus. Russell and Narine are among the two most consistent side bowlers and Dinesh Karthik can rely on them to get some control measure.
Mohali’s stadium is pretty big and that’s also going to suit both of these bowlers.
In his IPL debut in 2019, Sandeep Warrior had a good match and should have another chance. Harry Gurney is also another bowler who can do well with his mix of slower balls at the large Mohali stadium.
Most importantly, they don’t play a very strong batting lineup for the Knight Riders. The Knight riders will always be in with a chance to get relatively cheap Gayle and Rahul.
The Punjab Kings XI are on a downward spiral. They have lost their last three matches and they are also unsettled by the number of changes they make to their team. In the previous game, Kolkata Knight Riders finished a six-match losing streak and finally seemed to have found the right balance for the side.
They’re a dangerous side with more match winners, a stronger side to bat, and better all-rounders than the Kings XI Punjab.
Wager to win on the Kolkata Knight Riders.
